Summer Teen Apprentice Program
The Global Classroom (G:Class) utilizes the Museum as a resource to enhance learning and engage high school students through the exploration of contemporary art connecting to local, global, and cultural issues that affect their lives.
The New Museum Teen Apprentice Program offers students ages fourteen to nineteen work experience and exposure to contemporary art and ideas through on the job training, career-development talks, field trips to arts institutions, and group projects. Program participants will rotate jobs throughout the Museum and have the opportunity to work closely with mentors in several departments. Through close work with peers and interactive workshops, students will also collaborate meaningfully with the Museum’s artists in residence.
