Ceye 2018 Summer Program

Mission

The Center for Excellence in Youth Education (CEYE) aims to prepare underrepresented minorities and economically disadvantaged youth for careers in science and medicine through hands-on curriculum and internships. Established in 1975, we serve over 300 students in grade 6 though collegiate level each year. You can learn more here: www.icahn.mssm.edu/ceye

Activities

This summer, we will offer 3 hands-on, project-based research courses for current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. In addition, rising seniors are eligible for our Clinical Hospital Placement Internship program, which enables students to explore careers by way of daily shadowing experiences under physicians and other healthcare professionals – with newly added internship placements in Veterinary Sciences and Neuroscience!

Our program runs form June 29th to August 10th and takes place at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Eligibility

Programs Are Offered Throughout The Academic Year To Students Enrolled In New York City Public Schools That Have Established Formal Partnerships With Ceye. During The Summer Months, Ceye Opens Up Its Programming To Any Eligible Nyc Public Or Charter School Students.
