Mission

We prepare students with the academic skills, strength of character, and emotional well-being to excel in high school and college.

Activities

An important goal of the High School Program is to prepare our scholars to get to and through college. The College Access component offers scholars extensive college guidance through structured classes, and one-on-one mentorship. EHTP supports all aspects of college admissions, including high school credit tracking, Regents and SAT test preparation, college application assistance, and mentoring.

Every rising high school senior is paired with a volunteer mentor and receive support with the college application process from start to finish.

Scholars also experience college life first-hand through EHTP-sponsored college visits and tours. In 2017, scholars traveled to the state universities of New York (Stony Brook, Old Westbury, Farmingdale, and Albany), and private institutions such as Hofstra University, Skidmore College, and Bard College.

All scholars who complete the High School program continue into our College Scholars Program, which provides support through college graduation.
