Collective Culture NYC is the leading provider of cultural programs throughout New York City. We provide in-residence and after-school programs in folk and social dances, folk percussion and visual arts.

Activities

The power of Dominican Folk Dances allows students to learn a variety of traditional dance styles, from different regions of the country, and from the Dominican Diaspora. Classes explore the geography, traditional dance and music as well as cultural characteristics of the country through audio recordings and video footage. A final celebratory showcase blends the many styles of Dominican traditional dances.
