Mission

Since 1919, The New School has been reinventing education. Today our comprehensive university continues to develop forward-looking approaches
to learning, and nowhere is this more evident than with Open Campus, our newest offering. Open Campus is a wealth of continuing education programs—youth and teen programs; short courses and summer programs; with courses in art and design, management, media, writing, language, and more—tailored to every passion, professional and educational goal.

Activities

High school juniors and seniors take part in a college-level liberal arts course at The New School and develop their own voices in a supportive atmosphere. The course brings together peer-to-peer collaboration, immersive study, explorations in and around New York City, and networking opportunities with professionals, artists, and activists. By the end of the course, each student will have generated four works of prose.
