Marketing/Public Relations Intern For Ballet Company
Appleby Foundation. is the 501(C)(3) not-for-profit, New York City based organization, founded in 1979 which operates Rebecca Kelly Ballet, a contemporary dance company which performs and provides teen ballet instruction in SoHo, and summer education and outreach programs in the Northern Adirondacks for over 30-years. It is also developing the Tahawus Cultural Center with education programs, and activities in art, music, film, and dance, in the rural town of Au Sable Forks in upstate NY.
Rebecca Kelly Ballet seeks highly motivated high school junior or senior with interest in the arts management, arts administration. The internship will provide practical experience in an arts-related business. Work closely with the Artistic and Executive Directors in studio/ office/ loft of Rebecca Kelly Ballet on Broadway/ Prince St in SoHo. Intern will gain experience in a variety of projects in support of the Marketing and Development projects of Rebecca Kelly Ballet (Appleby Foundation, Inc) Marketing activities fall in two key areas, 1) relating to publicizing class schedules and education programs of RKB, and 2) leading up to the company’s December and June NYC performances, which include press and promotion, all details of organizing of special events, audience development, and administrative tasks.
