Mission

The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) mission is to provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan for successful futures.

Activities

NFTE NY Metro’s Summer BizCamp offers NYC students the opportunity to learn the NFTE Entrepreneurship curriculum in a highly interactive and intensive 2-week camp setting. Through experiential learning and engaging activities, participants will learn the basics of putting together a business plan while also developing valuable academic and life skills.

Entrepreneurial Mindset
Through experiential learning, field trips, and guest speakers, students take a deep dive into the world of entrepreneurship and learn what it takes to start their own

Coaching Sessions
Students work one –on– one with volunteer business plan coaches to refine their business ideas and hone their presentation skills in preparation for the final Business Plan Competition.

Business Plan Competition
At the end of this 2 week camp, all participants present their business ideas in front of a panel of judges while competing for cash prizes (top three winners).
