Mission

The mission of the Riverside Park Conservancy is to restore, maintain, and improve Riverside Park in partnership with the City of New York for the enjoyment and benefit of all New Yorkers.

Activities

Want to Help Beautify Your Community? Need Service Hours? Interested in gaining green job skills? Join Riverside Park Conservancy’s Teen Corps!

During the summer months Riverside Park Conservancy provides an experiential learning program for teenage volunteers interested in learning basic horticultural knowledge and skills. Volunteers work closely with our zone gardeners to care for spring plantings, prepare park areas for fall plantings, maintain key horticultural sites, and keep the park safe, clean, and healthy. Horticulture Volunteers:

Assist in caring for diverse plantings of trees, shrubs, vines, perennials, grasses and bulbs
Assist with seasonal landscaping work including weeding, watering, removing invasive species, mulching, aerating tree pits, and general cleanup
Assist with preparation, staffing, and cleanup for group volunteer groups
Assist in maintaining equipment and supplies needed to perform weekly tasks
