Mission

The mission of Central Park Conservancy is to restore, manage, and enhance Central Park in partnership with the public.

Activities

This full-time, paid internship offers high school students the opportunity to support the Conservancy’s horticulture, visitor services, and public programs departments. Interns work five days a week with individual schedules varying depending on the position (some include weekends). Every Friday all interns work together as a group to complete special projects in Central Park, or to go on trips to other parks and environmental organizations.

Acceptance into the internship program is through a competitive application process. While all high schools students 16 years and up are eligible to apply, preference is given to students who have participated in one of the ROOTS programs or the Visitor Experience Apprentice Program.

Eligibility

Applicants Must Be At Least 16 Years Old By June 1. Preference Is Given To Students Who Have Participated In One Of The Roots Programs Or The Visitor Experience Apprentice Program.
