Riverdale Neighborhood House, a settlement house in the northwest Bronx, provides human services, pioneering programs and a broad spectrum of educational and community resources to children, teens, seniors and families from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Responsive to the ever-changing needs of a multicultural population, RNH serves as a center for community outreach and addresses the needs of individuals and families at every stage of life.

The Riverdale Neighborhood House Career & College Youth Internship Program is a stipend-based paid internship. If you are a high school student between the ages of 14 and 18 looking to develop job skills, explore careers and college, and gain experiences that will boost your resume and/or college application then you are encouraged to apply. Selected interns participate in various activities to enhance their experience including career club, academic assistance, college information, health & mental health education, peer-to-peer education, trips, and year-end events.

NEW: The Youth Internship Program is proud to include college access. Beside job readiness training and career explorations, our interns will now receive individualize strategies and support for their post-secondary goals. This includes, but not limited to, academic assessment, college workshops & fairs, and college visits.

You may only apply to one of the 2 internship programs:
School Year Internship (October- June): Health, Education, Environment
Fall Internship (October-February): Media and Broadcasting, Journalism or Group Leader Assistant
