Mission
The mission of the Teen Resource Center (TRC) is to provide information and support to the Asian American youth population through health education, programs & activities, and referrals.
Activities
The Community Service Learning Program (CSLP) is a six month (Feb through August) internship training program for youth ages 15 to 19. The program aims to provide youth with an opportunity to improve their life skills (public speaking, stress/time management, negotiation/communication skills) through service learning projects. The internship program consists of direct service at the community organization at which the intern is placed, trainings on topics such as stress management, communication, and public speaking, and a group project at the TRC.
Interested teens need to fill out an application. Qualified candidates are invited to a follow up interview. Once selected, interns are assigned to selected community organizations where they take on meaningful and rewarding roles through which they learn social responsibility and cooperation.
The Teen Resource Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, ethnicity, religion, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, sex, marital status, disability, or status as a U.S. veteran. We encourage anyone and everyone to apply!
