Mission

Collective Culture NYC is the leading provider of cultural programs throughout New York City. We provide in-residence and after-school programs in folk and social dances, folk percussion and visual arts.

Activities

Dance to the beat of Dominican social rhythms. Students expand their knowledge of social dances by learning and performing dances such as the Merengue, Bachata and Salsa, (Occasional tipico dances will be included). Each student works with a partner to learn the dances and then give a joyous performance for their families and school community.
* This program makes connections to the curriculum in Social Studies.
* This residency culminates in a performance.
